Measurement Guide
The right measurements are the first step toward a beautiful fit. Whether you choose a standard size or provide custom measurements, taking your measurements carefully will help you select the most suitable VEA DRESS size for your special occasion.
Before You Measure
Use a Soft Measuring Tape
Use a flexible fabric measuring tape rather than a rigid ruler for accurate body measurements.
Wear Fitted Clothing
Measure over fitted or lightweight clothing and avoid bulky garments that may add extra volume.
Ask Someone to Help
Another person can help keep the measuring tape straight and improve the accuracy of your measurements.
Stand Naturally
Keep your posture relaxed, stand straight, and keep your feet together while measurements are being taken.

Bust
Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust. Keep the tape level across your back and parallel to the floor.
The tape should rest comfortably against your body without squeezing or leaving extra space.
Tip: Wear the bra or similar undergarment you plan to wear with your dress when taking this measurement.
Waist
Measure around your natural waistline, usually the narrowest part of your torso above your belly button.
Keep the measuring tape close to your body but do not pull it too tightly.
Tip: Gently bend to one side. The crease that forms usually indicates your natural waistline.

Hips
Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
Make sure the tape remains level all the way around your body and does not twist.
Tip: Check the tape in a mirror or ask someone to confirm that it remains parallel to the floor.
Hollow to Floor
Stand straight and barefoot with your feet together. Measure from the hollow at the center of your collarbone straight down to the floor.
Keep the measuring tape vertical and allow it to follow the front of your body naturally.
Important: Begin at the hollow between your collarbones, not from the top of your shoulder.

Height
Stand barefoot against a flat wall with your body straight and your head in a natural position.
Measure vertically from the top of your head down to the floor.
Tip: Having another person take this measurement generally provides a more accurate result.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I wear shoes while taking my measurements?
No. Body measurements, including hollow-to-floor and height, should normally be taken barefoot unless heel height is specifically requested.
What should I do if I am between two sizes?
Compare all of your measurements with our Size Chart. If you fall between two standard sizes, choosing the larger size may provide more room for alterations. Where available, custom sizing may also be an option.
Can someone else take my measurements?
Yes. We recommend having someone assist you whenever possible, especially when measuring your bust, hips, height, and hollow-to-floor.
How accurate should my measurements be?
Take each measurement carefully and record it as accurately as possible. Measuring to approximately the nearest 0.5 inch or 1 cm is generally recommended.
Should I add extra room to my measurements?
No. Please provide your actual body measurements. Do not intentionally add extra inches or centimeters unless our customer service team specifically asks you to do so.
Need Sizing Assistance?
If you are unsure about your size or need help with custom measurements, our customer service team will be happy to assist you.
